Calvin Harris Reveals Why He SNAPPED At Taylor Swift After Their Split

Calvin Harris comes clean about the reason he completely lost his chill after Taylor Swift admitted to being the ghost writer on his track “This Is What You Came For” in a shocking new confession.
: It was the shaaaade heard round the Twittersphere, but now Calvin admits he wasn’t quite pleased with the way he reacted…
There was no subtly, no hesitation and most of all NO chill in Calvin Harris’ series of public tweets aimed directly at Taylor Swift following their split and then her confession to writing his track “This is What You Came For”. Although Taylor had already moved on with Tom Hiddleston, Calvin admits to slamming Taylor and her team for making him “look bad”.
In an interview with British GQ, Calvin revealed he regrets publicly slamming her, saying QUOTE, “It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
He went on to say that it seemed as though their breakup was more publicized than the actual relationship itself, saying, “When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I'm not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I'm a positive guy.”
‘Positive’ definitely wasn’t the word that first came to mind when reading his tweets that referenced Taylor being bored and needing to tear someone down, like Katy, but it seems as though over a year later, the two have finally been able to come to a platonic understanding with each other, as Calvin admits that the relationship simply wasn’t meant to be.
He said QUOTE, “It's very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn't right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards...”
The two seem to be on OK terms now, as TMZ reported a while back that the two squashed their differences after Taylor and Tom broke up, and it appears that Taylor still follows Calvin on social media, however, Calvin no longer follows her.
So let’s just hope that was the final word on any bad blood the two had… until Taylor’s next album, that is.
