Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris Break Up: What Went Wrong?

The love story that is Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris has officially come to an end after 15 months of dating, and we’re bringing you all the heartbreaking details right now.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they just got their heart ripped to shreds because TAYVIN, WHAT WENT WRONG?!
It seemed like just yesterday Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (real name Adam Wiles) were celebrating their one-year anniversary together with cakes and golden lockets and tropical getaways, and that’s probably because it really was only 3 short months ago. However, since the time of their one-year celebration, we just have to wonder… were the signs leading to breakup station right in front of our faces all along? Let’s break down the facts.
It all started after Taylor and Calvin met last February, all thanks to their mutual friend and match maker Ellie Goulding, the two quickly hit it off, visiting each others’ hometowns, floating on swans in pools, attending each others’ shows and going out on public dinner dates.
However, we all know that not everything you see on social media is really what you get… A source from E! News revealed that in the end, Calvin’s heart wasn’t in it as much as Taylor’s, saying that, “Calvin really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that. He liked how innocent Taylor was and that she had a good caring heart.”
It was also revealed that the breakup was Calvin’s doing but that QUOTE, "Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive."
We’ve also learned that after Calvin’s car accident last week, Taylor wasn’t physically there with him, but she and her family were constantly checking up on him, however part of the breakup was caused by Taylor feeling like Calvin wasn’t reciprocating the affection and that he QUOTE, “wasn't taking it seriously enough and wouldn't come through for her when she needed him most. She felt down and like her needs weren't being met. She doesn't want to get back together."
Many other things like the constant touring and traveling could have contributed to the split, and the source even said that their compatibility also may have been off in different aspects of the relationship. Although it is confirmed that cheating was NOT a factor in the breakup, Taylor is still trying to cope with the breakup, so we can only assume that the video she posted via Instagram last week while at home in Nashville with her family was due to the breakup.
It really is the end of an era you guys, I was seriously hoping that this would be it for Taylor, but sometimes things don’t always work out the way you planned. And hey, we can only hope that T-Swift has an awesome breakup anthem (or album for that matter) on its way, because us Swifties also need a good coping mechanism here!
