Calvin Harris Opens Up About His Split From Taylor Swift

During a recent interview with GQ for their Men of the Year issue, the international DJ finally addressed his relationship with Taylor head-on. Calvin told the mag that it was a VERY difficult for him when something he considered so personal played out very publically. He also admitted that the split made even more headlines than their actual relationship ever did, which in the end made things a lot harder.
Calvin also revealed that the couple never wanted the extra attention to begin with. Saying quote, “When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.” Then, Calvin went on to add that Taylor respected his feelings in that sense.
Just last night in London, Calvin accepted the award for Patron Tequila’s Solo Artist of the Year and hinted at his split with Taylor. Not only did he thank his manager for being there with him from the beginning, but also for helping him get through all those tabloid rumors.
We’ve all been waiting for Calvin to give us some answers on his relationship with Taylor. But why is he just now choosing to open up? Doesn’t this whole thing seem very interesting being that also yesterday we learned that Hiddleswift is no more?
