One year down, and hopefully MANY more to go, but hey, that’s way more than I can say, so congrats to Taylor and her boyfriend Calvin Harris on their one year in the books!
It seems like an eternity ago that a rumored fling between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris began popping out of the woodworks after the two attended concerts together, wined and dined around local LA hotspots AND partook in multiple displays of affection… (yeah, I’m talkin’ bout you Billboard Music Awards).
Who woulda thought a mere 365 days later, Taylor would find her person, or should we say soulmate, “before anyone else” or whatever mushy title you want to put on it.
The two lovebirds have marked yesterday, March 6, as their anniversary date, and celebrated in the best way possible, as seen on Calvin’s Snapchat. Take a look:
Calvin took a video of what looks like an insanely delicious homemade chocolate cake saying “One Year” and panned the camera up to a giddy schoolgirl-looking Taylor, who by the way, could also be seen wearing a stunning gold locket gifted by Calvin. She took to Instagram to share a photo of the thoughtful gift that Calvin had engraved with their special date, writing, “One year down.”
As for what the necklace held inside… A source close to the couple revealed that it holds something special, but that it was top secret.
The source also revealed that QUOTE, “Calvin bought the locket all on his own. Calvin is not a flashy guy when it comes to gifts and he knows Taylor appreciates the small meaningful things, so he thought this would be the perfect gift.”
And naturally, the source revealed that Taylor can’t get enough of the thoughtful gift from her beau, saying, "Taylor is a true hopeless romantic kind of lady and she thought Calvin really outdid himself with this gift. He had surprises for Taylor all throughout the day" and the source even added that QUOTE: “Calvin knows that Taylor IS the woman for him. Out of all of Calvin's relationships, he seems the happiest with Taylor. He always says to all of his friends that Taylor is marriage material."
WHOAAA did someone just pull the wifey material card?! But, I mean, tell us something we don’t know. But the real Cupid in this sitch here is, the couple’s mutual friend, Ellie Goulding who introduced the two at the Elle Style Awards… So well done Ellie for creating a match made in Heaven.
