Camila Cabello was involved in a little back-and-forth Twitter trifle with 5 Seconds of Summer’s Michael Clifford and we’re bringing you all the details right now.
We might know what she did last summer, buuuut this winter might be steering Camila in a whole new course, so the burning question remains: Are they more than friends?
We all know Camila and Michael have been friends for ages, and if you didn’t know that, maybe you can recall the slightly awkward Twitter interaction between Harry Styles, Camila and Michael back in 2013 when Harry cyber-introduced Michael to Camila, claiming that he’s a real nice guy… a failed setup that could possibly pay off two years down the line.
And just because I’m on a roll with the investigative work right now, the two also sparked dating rumors earlier this year after they were seen having dinner together. But anyway, back to the present, Michael and Camila have allegedly been hanging out backstage at Jingle Ball this week. After she sent out a tweet last night saying, “SAN FRAN LETS GO NUTS,” Michael responded with a sassy remark, saying QUOTE, “@camilacabello97 don't tell me what to do.”
This then sparked a series of hilarious memes between the two that was the perfect form of entertainment last night. Michael quickly tweeted Camila a not-so-flattering pic of his bandmate Luke Hemmings mid-scream, to which she responded with a cropped image of a person with Michael’s face.
Safe to say Camila won the battle because all Michael could respond was, “@camilacabello97 damnit.” Touché, Camila. But not only did the hilarious Twitter banter give us life last night, but Camila scored herself a follow from 5SOS’ official Twitter AND later liked a tweet sent by the band’s drummer Ashton Irwin, SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!
Ok so it could still totally mean they’re JUST friends, but we’ll be keeping an eye out on any type of blooming CaMichael romance just in time for the holidays.
