Nicki Minaj & John Mayer Get FLIRTY On Twitter & Fans Don't Know What To Think

On Friday John Mayer told himself go big or go home and just went for it. Around 4pm he tweeted – “I spend an inordinate amount of time per day wondering if Nicki Minaj would like me or not.” In less than 30 minutes Nicki responded referencing his song lyrics saying – “Would my body be your wonderland?” At this point, that made me feel some type of way and I got my popcorn out to give my undivided attention. John came back with the cutest response ever saying – “Please hold, losing my shit. This isn’t my reply yet.” At the same time, Nicki responded – “Asking for a friend” with the sweating smiley face emoji. The PDA stopped there so we don’t know if they stopped responding to each all together or if they slid into each other’s DM’s to talk privately, but whatever happened, I’m here for it. John’s tweet to Nicki was liked over 81,000 times with endless replies of people chiming in. Even Andy Cohen got in on the action saying – “She would roll her eyes at you endlessly.”
My favorite part about this is that John didn’t @ Nicki in his initial tweet about her so I don’t think he was expecting her to see it, let alone reply. Also the fact that Nicki responded at the same time as John saying “asking for a friend” is adorable because we’ve all been there where we text someone something kinda spicy and then you start to squirm a little bit contemplating whether or not you went too far. As far as I we know, John is single right now, but Nicki has been rumored to be dating Nas so only time will tell what’s really going on behind closed doors. Katy Perry, who dated John in the past, deemed him her favorite celebrity lover so this could be fun for Nicki. Get it girl. But John’s interest in Nicki did spark some backlash on twitter when people began to retweet a past interview John did with Playboy in which he called his male hardware down there a white supremacist. When asked by playboy if black women throw themselves at him, John replied QUOTE – “I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.” Yeah not a good look so I’m gonna need John to clear those comments up before I can give my final seal of approval on him dating my rap queen. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time John has tried to get with a girl through Twitter. Last month he commented on David Foster’s instagram underneath a photo of him with his daughter Erin saying – “Can you put a good word in for me?”
