Celebs react to the news of legend Debbie Reynolds’ death on twitter...
Screen legend Debbie Reynolds shockingly passed away yesterday, and celebs of all types and ages have reacted to the tragic news on social media…
Just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher passed away from a heart attack, Debbie Reynolds died after suffering a stroke at the age of 84. The shocking news has stunned and saddened fans all over, including many celebs who shared their condolences and memories of the actress on social media...
Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick shared a picture of a young Debbie Reynolds from her iconic film “Singin’ in the Rain” along with the caption QUOTE, “American treasure”. Meanwhile Ariana Grande reached out to Debbie’s granddaughter and Carrie Fisher’s daughter on her account, writing QUOTE, “i love you billie. so so much. rest in peace, debbie reynolds.”
Miley Cyrus also shared her shock and heartbreak over the news, tweeting a young black and white photo of Debbie with a series of broken heart emojis and the words “wow...... this sad news makes me wanna hug my mama and never let go...” Couldn’t agree with her more on that.
Dwayne Johnson shared what we were all thinking when we heard the news when he posted on Twitter QUOTE, “So blown away and saddened by this Debbie Reynolds news a day after her daughter, Carrie passes away. So much luv & strength to their family.” And Star Wars actor Mark Hamill really nailed it by simply writing #CruelCruelYear.
Alluding to the fact that Debbie died just one day after her daughter, UnReal star Constance Zimmer wrote QUOTE, “The most incredible love is when one can't live without the other…” followed by #RIP #DebbieReynolds.
Many of Debbie’s former co-stars also shared memories and condolences to her family, including her Halloweentown co-star Kimberly J. Brown, who released a lengthy and heartfelt statement on Facebook that said in part QUOTE, “What do you say about a woman who had such an impact on your life both professionally and personally? Debbie lived her life like all of us should, to the fullest. She was bold, funny, and had the biggest heart.” I think now is an appropriate time for us all to just want to marathon the Halloweentown and Star Wars movies and cry for the rest of the day.
On a side note, can we just be done with 2016 already before we lose anymore amazing talents and legends? Al Roker probably put it best with his tweet, “I can't remember a year ending with so many bold faced obituaries. Godspeed @DebbieReynolds1 @carrieffisher @GeorgeMichael and #AlanThicke. And you guys, that’s just the list of celebs we’ve lost in the past month! Seriously, this year was savage.
Okay but now I wanna know what YOU think think of these celeb reactions, and are you just as ready to leave 2016 behind as I am? Let me hear your thoughts in the comments and after that click here to watch the Star Wars Cast remember Carrie Fisher. Thanks so much for watching News Feed, and be sure to subscribe.
