Dove Cameron NOT Playing Sabrina Because Of Agents Of SHIELD Role?

Okay, okay, maybe we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves. But for those who are wishing for Dove will play the iconic teenage witch in CW’s “Riverdale” spinoff, maybe don’t get your hopes up too high because it doesn’t look like that’s happening any time soon.
In an Instagram video, Dove teased her fans with information about an upcoming project and no, she made no mentions of Sabrina BUT a very familiar face popped up and whisked her away before she could give us any more details.
UNFORTUNATELY we don’t know any more than what she told us. However, being the natural detectives that we are, we can only assume that by her Instagram caption – and all the Twitter love she’s been receiving from her new cast members -- Dove will be appearing in the upcoming season of ABC’s TV show “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Naturally, there were some VERY excited Dove fans who are totally here for her being in the Marvel Universe. One fan wrote QUOTE, “What other people wanted: Dove on Riverdale/Sabrina. What we got and deserved: Dove in the Marvel Universe.” Another fan ecstatically tweeted their disbelief, saying “I can’t believe Dove Cameron is joining the Marvel fandom. This is amazing news omg.”
Meanwhile, others… like Selena’s stans were just glad Dove didn’t make an announcement about being Sabrina the Teenage Witch. One of Selena’s fans wrote in all caps “DOVE AS SABRINA IS CANCELLED SINCE SHE’S GOING TO STAR IN ANOTHER UPCOMING ABC FAMILY SERIES. THAT MEANS SELENA ACTUALLY HAS A CHANCE NOW, YES.”
Well, we don’t know if Dove is COMPLETELY out of the running as Sabrina the Teenage Witch since not much has been said about Dove’s involvement on Agent’s of SHIELD. So, let’s not take her out of the race completely. Who knows, maybe Dove can do both!
