The Election Commission has advised the public to ignore a viral message which claimed that Parliament will be dissolved on Jan 11, 2018 and nomination day will be on March 11 and polling on March 25.
In a statement today EC Chairperson Mohd Hashim Abdullah said that the period between the dates mentioned exceeds the 60-day limit within which a general election must be held.
