Break-ups, doppelgangers, twin witches and bad guy named Markos...there's only one thing we could be talking about, and that's the Vampire Diaries. So in last night's episode, Damon and Elena broke up*, forever this time. Except then, they hooked up right after that. And you know how the whole friends with benefits thing usually works out...um, yeah it doesn't. Here's a peek at what's going down in next week's episode titled "Rescue Me."

And this relationship drama is literally just the tip of the iceberg -- Stefan is still being held captive by the Travelers, and then there's this new brother/sister duo Liv and Luke, and we can look forward to seeing Bonnie and Jeremy entangled in a bad situation with them. And we can also get excited about what's being officially referred to as a QUOTE "awkward afternoon" between Damon and Elena where they attend Jeremy's parent-teacher conference only to learn some very bad news about his behavior at school. Really quickly -- why is Jeremy still in school? Is anyone else asking that? Education is important, but seeing as how his life is on the line, literally every, I'm both shocked and impressed by his commitment to finishing high school. But back to Elena and Damon -- do you guys think this friends with benefits thing is going to pan out? And what do you make of Liv and Luke?
