HOLD UP, Beyonce just lost to Fifth Harmony at the MTV VMA’s, and the world seems to be losing all chill.
In case you’re wondering what just happened… Well Beyonce lost, that’s kind of what just happened.
Just minutes after Beyonce left all of Madison Square Garden speechless with her epic medley performance at the 2016 MTV VMA’s, home girl found herself in a sticky situation and fans are not happy about it…
When it came time to crown THE BEST COLLABORATION… The competition was stiff including Ariana Grande featuring Lil Wayne, for “Let Me Love You, Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna, for “This Is What You Came For," and Rihanna featuring Drake, for their song “Work." But queen Bey didn’t lose to any of them, she actually lost to Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla sign for their collab and song of the summer “Work From Home.”
I’m not taking away from Fifth Harmony… Work From Home is MY JAM, and it has been all summer long, I just thought it was known if you were up against the Queen, you lose… However tonight we learned that isn’t always the case and judging by the girls of Fifth Harmony they were pretty shocked as well!
Beyoncé has had an incredible year. She had a visual album that was a real piece of work and to ignore her impact seems harsh, and twitter agreed going a little crazy…
One user took to twitter writing “Fifth Harmony won an award over Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar? Uh yeah sure okay #VMAs”
But before you lose all cool… Beyonce did NOT go unnoticed… She did go on to win two of the most important awards of the night. "Hold Up" took home Best Female Video AND Best Video of the Year went to "Formation," PLUS she put on the show of a lifetime.
Fifth Harmony did win big though, they also took home Song Of The Summer for All In My Head (Flex) during the pre show… They were up agaist Drake’s “One Dance,” Sia’s “Cheap Thrills,” and Justin Bieber and Major Lazer’s “Cold Water.”.
#KILLING IT… BUT Maybe we can give MTV and 5H a break and celebrate both of their songs that took home awards AS well as acknowledge that Beyonce is still the queen of all queens!
Most importantly I do want to know where you stand with Fifth Harmony beating out Beyonce for best collaboration… YOU’VE GOT TO ADMIT, work form home is the JAM… Let’s talk in the comments below, subscribe to our channel, then, click here to melt watching Drake Present Rihanna with Video Vanguard Award… Ah I love love… Thank for hanging with me at Clevver news, I’m Ryland Adams, and I’ll see you next time!
