Is there something more going on between Lauren and Halsey? Because we wouldn’t be mad about it.
Halsey was on the Zach Sang show and discussed her upcoming album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom which is a concept record based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
She goes in depth about a song on the record called Strangers featuring the Fifth Harmony singer.
So the song is a romantic love song featuring two women and using female pronouns, but why Lauren? Halsey later goes on to say QUOTE, "If I want this song to be believable it needs to be real, so I'm not going to put a girl on the song to sing who's straight,"
Lauren Jauregui came out as bisexual last November after a photo was leaked of her kissing another woman. And because both women are now openly bisexual, Halsey said it was only fitting for them to combine forces for this somewhat new type of genre.
She said QUOTE, “Sam Smith obviously made waves making records that were so human and so amazing and emotional that it didn't matter what your sexuality was, you just identified with what he was singing. That's kind of what I wanted to do with 'Strangers.’”
So as of now there’s nothing juicy happening with the pair of talented singers, but we want to know your thoughts on the collaborative love song!
