Instagram Adds Two New AMAZING Features - Get All the Details

Instagram’s newest feature FINALLY lets users “re-gram” posts from other accounts onto their own stories. Which, to be fair, some of us might have already been doing with outside apps or getting creative with screengrabs…
So let’s say, for example, your Queen Kylie Jenner posts a selfie that you wanna share with your friends and comment on in your Story. As long as the post is public and permanent, you can now tap a button to embed Kylie’s selfie into your Story. You can then resize it, make cute comments on it, or add some imagery using Instagram’s creative tools, and voila! You have just embedded Kylie’s fire selfie onto your own Instagram story, and shared your thoughts and feelings about it with your followers.
Because it’s super important that your followers know how much you love Kylie and her fire selfies.
Once the you “re-gram” the post to your stories, upon viewing it, your followers can tap on the post embed to bring up a “see post” button, which then opens the permanent feed post.
So Kylie gets more looks and likes on the original post, thanks to you sharing it. You are SUCH a good friend.
Of course, if this is freaking you out a little bit because you don’t want randos sharing YOUR posts to THEIR stories, Instagram has your back. You can turn off the option in your settings, and only public posts can be reshared. Only a small percentage of users currently have access to the feature, but they’ll probably be rolling it out to more and then all of their users soon, because not having to exit Instagram to use “Repost” or another app to do this is a HUGE plus for those of us who love to get creative with our permanent posts and Stories.
Now, we can finally see a permanent post we like in a feed, regram it with our own comments, and then talk about it in the DMs with our friends.
Finally, our social media interactions come full circle.
Besides the new “re-gram” Stories feature, Instagram is also launching its “Shopping” feature for business accounts to eight new countries: Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Australia. Shopping on Instagram has been available to businesses in the US last year, and it’s a smart way for Instagram to further monetize the app.
When users tap a Shopping for Instagram post, it displays pop-ups with prices and a link to a new page within the app that has more info and a “Shop Now” button, which directs users to the product page on the brand’s own online store. Instagram is planning to monetize the feature by allowing businesses to display “Shoppable” photos to people who don’t already follow them.
Everything from clothes to jewelry to flowers are available on the Shopping for Instagram feature.
As if we needed more ways to be addicted to shopping, amiright?!
