Just when we were getting used to Justin’s shaved head after those long dread locks, he decided to shock us with another major update to his body… a face tattoo.
Guys, this is not a drill. I am completely serious…I promise.
The 22-year old made a pit stop during his “Purpose” tour at the West 4 Tattoo Parlor in New York last week and decided to get a new tattoo that might have a deeper meaning than you think.
Posting this pic to Instagram, Justin played it off smooth, not even mentioning the new tat in the caption, but instead writing, “Resting up for the show in Philly it’s gonna be a good one mark my words.”
But if you look closely, you can see a tiny cross underneath his eye. In a recent interview, the man behind the ink, Jonboy, said that Justin wanted to get the tat done to represent his journey in finding purpose with God. Good timing right? I mean, Justin is on his “Purpose” tour. Jonboy also posted a pic to Insta posing with Justin and the new tattoo after it was finished.
Buuut, it wasn’t very long ago that Justin told the world he WAS open to getting a face tattoo. Even though he was talking about doing it when he was in his 40s or 50s, we probably should have seen this coming. He admitted to GQ earlier this year, QUOTE: “I think if they’re done right, they could be cool, but nothing like super crazy all over the face.” He even mentioned he might get one “above his eyebrow” if it was really small.
Hmmm, it seems the placement choice for this new tat was pretty close to what he imagined. But now it’s YOUR turn!
