The day before his high school graduation, the “Stitches” singer got a brand-spanking-new tattoo in his hometown of Toronto, Canada by tattoo artist Livia Tsang. The tattoo shop posted awesome pictures and Snapchatted the whole thing. Because if it didn’t happen on Snapchat, did it really happen?
So what is it? On his right arm, it’s a black and white tattoo of a pond and some trees, all drawn in the shape of a guitar. Also, near the neck of the guitar is the CN Tower – a tower that defines the Toronto city skyline but also, one more fun fact…
Did you catch that? The little area on the neck of the guitar that just may look like scribbles to some of us, is actually the digital depiction of soundwaves of his parents saying “I love you!” Now, if that doesn’t melt your cold Internet heart than you need to check yourself for real. We think it’s a perfect tattoo to show his love for his hometown and music.
And in case you were worried if Shawn was in any pain, the tattoo artist confirmed on Twitter that Shawn “did not cry.” And by the looks of the Snapchat clips, he doesn’t seem phased at all. The next day, dressed in his cap and gown he took pics with classmates and walked the stage like any other student. He tweeted quote: “Feeling really excited for the future. So much is coming, i cant even think about it for too long. I get aggressively excited”
