Kanye kicked off our weekend by debuting the music video for ‘Famous’ at The Forum in LA during a massive public event that had wife, Kim Kardashian, in attendance along with Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Dissick. Kris Jenner and boyfriend, Corey Gamble, also showed up to support Kanye along with Kanye’s youngest sister in law, Kylie Jenner and Tyga, who made a few headlines of their own. But it was really all about Kanye who entertained a crowd of fans with a set that had everybody on their feet. The real star of the show, however, was the ‘Famous’ music video and talk about NSFW.
The video features more than a few familiar faces represented by what appears to be wax figures of their naked bodies all lying together, side-by-side, in a bed… No, we’re not kidding. Of the nudey celebs, Kanye and Kim lay next to each other surrounded by former president George W. Bush, current presidential candidate Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Caitlin Jenner, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, and even Kim’s ex Ray-J, just to name a few. Taylor Swift is also shown in the vid while Kanye raps the already infamous lyrics that we all know ends with “I made that bitch famous.”
Kanye West also gave some insight into the meaning behind the lyrics and visuals of ‘Famous’ telling Vanity Fair that QUOTE “It’s not in support of anti any of [the people in the video]. It’s a comment on fame.” And while we’re anticipating that the featured celebs might have a thing or two to say about the vid, nobody has really said anything except for Chris Brown who kept his comments short calling Kanye QUOTE “CRAZY, talented, but crazy.” Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, has been in support of the song from the beginning, defending lyrics that might not be OK with any other wife. But Kanye told Vanity Fair that QUOTE “One of the keys to happiness in our marriage is we’re allowed to be ourselves.”
Well, that may be true, and Kanye may be allowed to show whatever and whoever he wants in his videos, but that doesn’t mean that everything is gonna love it, and I definitely want to know what you guys think. Is the video for Famous what you expected and what do you think about it?
