Kian Lawley FIRED From The Hate U Give Film After Racist Video Resurfaces

Kian was set to star opposite Amandla Stenberg in “Hate U Give,” a film that focuses in on police brutality, race and was largely inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, where he’d play the former Hunger Games’ actresses boyfriend. In fact, from what it seems the film has already been shot. However, after a video surfaced online of Kian using various racial slurs, the studio made the decision to drop him from the film. Fox told Variety QUOTE: Due to the controversy surrounding his past comments and behavior, Kian Lawley will no longer appear in The Hate U Give. The studio plans to recast the role of Chris and reshoot scenes as needed.
Kian has also spoken out via twitter to say: if u don’t learn from ur mistakes, u can never grow as a person.

As you guys all know, this comes on the heels of the massive controversy surrounding Logan Paul’s video featuring a victim of suicide, as well actors including Kevin Spacey being similarly removed from movies that were already shot.
