Lilly Singh Drops Powerful "Voices" Music Video

Lilly Singh dropped some pretty sick bars in her new music video and while the visual did start off with an upbeat jam, the rest of it wasn’t all just fun and games.
From rapping about her success to admitting her own insecurities, Lilly Singh left no voice unheard and no page unturned in her latest song and music video.
Lilly may be a writer, social media and YouTube star, but she’s so much more than that. She can also add musician to her growing list of talents. After days of teasing her fans, the YouTuber finally released her music video for ‘Voices’ and needless to say, it’ll definitely blow your mind.
‘Voices,’ which is essentially five songs in one, shows off Lilly’s incredible range as she raps about success and being the best, to addressing her own insecurities, to asking everyone to do more than just pray for all the problems in the world to go away.
The video starts off with a fun track where Lilly tells off the haters…
And before you start comparing the vibe of her first song to every other mainstream rap song out there about getting paper and being the best, the social superstar surprised us all by taking her next set of flows in more vulnerable direction. Take a look.
But, opening up about the fears of losing her family and the need to connect with the people in her life with more conversations than selfies wasn’t all Lilly rapped about. The YouTuber also called out the problems in society today with a shout out to the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
If at any point you were confused by Lilly’s music video and all of the different visuals and different tones in the video, she explained it on Twitter, saying that the 10 minute video is basically all of her thoughts or Voices in one. The YouTube sensation left her audience with a little food for thought by tweeting out with her video, “These are my #VOICES. It’s not about the voices in your head. It’s about what you do with them.”
