Rihanna Reveals She & Drake Are NOT Friends + Talks Awkward VMA Moment

How could we forget one of the most talked about moments from the 2016 VMAs when Drake presented Rihanna with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and announced to the world that he had been in love with her since he was 22 year’s old. So naturally Vogue asked Rihanna about the touching moment in her latest Vogue interview. Rihanna explained how the moment made her feel saying QUOTE - "The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal. Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don't like too many compliments; I don't like to be put on blast. We don't have a friendship now, but we're not enemies either. It is what it is."
Rihanna and Drake have been shipped by fans for what feels like forever, so hearing that they’re not really friends anymore feels a little like a collective divorce, but things happen. They both seem happy. Rihanna discussed how much has changed in her life in the last year saying QUOTE - "OK, so now that I'm 30, are there things I'm supposed to do? Should I be worried? Should I be freezing my eggs? What do you do at 30?!” She also talked about future motherhood saying QUOTE – “I'm not gonna be able to take my eyes off my kid. I know that already about myself. They're going to have to force me to hire a nanny."
Rih is also about to appear on the big screen in the upcoming all female Ocean’s Eight alongside Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kahling, she has literally started a fashion and beauty empire with Fenty and Puma and Um hello the lingerie line she has coming out? Take all the money.
Along with being a business woman and all around boss, she says she’s also made sure to take personal time for herself and to see her billionaire boo saying QUOTE - "I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before. Even mentally, just to be away from my phone, to be in the moment, that has been key for my growth. Now, when I come to work, I'm all in. Because before you know it, the years will go by. I'm glad I'm taking the time. I'm happy."
