Selena Gomez BUMMED About Elle Magazine Interview For THIS Reason

Okay, you guys. So, this wouldn’t be the first time that something like this has happened, but from the sound of it, Selena Gomez is pretty disappointed that Elle magazine took the angle that they did for her October cover story.
Sel uploaded three new Instagrams yesterday expressing her feelings about the article, explaining that she wanted it to be more about her charity work with A21, which is an organization that works to end human trafficking, her collaboration with Coach, and of course, her plans for new music.
Instead, the article honed in on her ties to the Hillsong Church, her unpublished lyrics, and her relationship with Demi Lovato following her drug overdose, all of which Selena didn’t want to focus on… but can we really blame her?
Selena said, QUOTE, “I understand that reporters are working to grab the attention of a reader, however I will always work to ensure that what is public represents my truth. I’m a bit bummed but rarely surprised.”
In addition to expressing her disappointment in the mag, Selena shared some photos that she felt truly represent the person she is and what she wishes the mag would’ve focused on, like her charity work and other various projects.
She wrote, QUOTE, “Y’all know me and my heart. I can’t help it. So I’ll post some of MY photos from the collection and work with A21. My heart. And maybe edit my actual lyrics as you will all hear it soon. I love you guys to the moon and back.”
Clearly, Selena was super bummed about the article, and rightfully so! We’re just glad she took matters into her own hands and decided to share her truth in her own words.
