Best Selena Gomez Cover of 2016: Vogue VS W Magazine

Selena Gomez snagged two of her sexiest magazine covers EVER this year, and we need your help picking a winner! This is Clevver’s Best of 2016!
We’re putting Selena’s beachy W Mag cover up against her smoldering Vogue shoot!
In February this year we got word that pop darling Selena Gomez would grace her first W Magazine cover. Selena appears on the magazine’s March ‘American Fashion’ issue in patriotic attire. Fitting, for one of America’s most popular gals. The cover photo sees Selena posing in the Malibu sand donning a crochet beach coverup over a red bikini, complete with beach waves in her hair. The caption on the cover reads appropriately, “Selena Gomez hotter than ever”.
Other photos from the W Mag beach shoot include Selena going back to her Texas roots with a blue cowboy hat and bikini. In other shots she’s showing off her figure in a gold cutout bikini and tiara.
But when August came around, we had another Selena magazine cover to obsess over. Selena was awarded the September issue of Vogue Australia. SelGo effortlessly gazes at the camera in a midriff baring Louis Vuitton two piece. Other shots from the shoot see Selena playing girl-next-door SLASH housewife posing a mid-century home. Most photos include Selena in tasteful gowns but one shot includes an emotional Selena fully clothed in a bathtub.
But it’s what’s on the inside that counts, isn’t it? Inside her W Magazine cover story Selena got candid about that never ending feud with Miley Cyrus, her ex Justin Bieber, and more. On her rumored beef with Miley over Nick Jonas, Selena revealed QUOTE, “We never feuded. We both liked the same guy when we were 16. It was just a Hilary Duff-Lindsay Lohan thing: 'Oh, my God, we like the same boy!'...“I'm a fan of her music – I don't know if she'd say that about me."
And on Justin, Selena got emotional saying QUOTE, “I’m so exhausted. I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can’t do it anymore.” SelGo also shocked us by promising that in a few years she’ll give up social media! “I’m utilizing social media right now because of my age and because, everybody else in the world was talking about me, so I wanted a f--king say.”
Months later the Bieber theme continued. Selena also took a swipe at her ex in her Vogue Australia interview saying QUOTE, “For a while my private life was the most talked about thing. Nobody really knows everything and they can only assume. You want to do what you love but all this other stuff overshadows it so it makes it a little harder for people to take me seriously.”
On dating, Selena claimed she didn’t have time at the moment to date, but when she does, “I’d be stoked with a writer or producer or actor who is low-key, but those kind of guys are terrified of me!” Adding that she doesn’t think guys want to date her due her heightened public scrutiny.
Finally, Selena revealed that she didn’t want her Revival track “Same Old Love” to be the lead single off her album because of who the song is about. “I was so adamant that I didn’t want that to be my story. ‘Same Old Love’ is so obvious in what it’s about, it’s a cycle of a very vicious relationship.’” Obviously, she’s referring to Justin Bieber.
