Rihanna, Selena Gomez, & MORE To Perform At 2016 Global Citizen Festival

So usually when you turn 4 years old, you may get a new little toy and a little party but for the 4th year of this music festival? We’re getting ALL THE GOODS in the form of damn good musicians.
Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar are just some of the big big names headlining in Central Park for this year’s Global Citizen Festival and we couldn’t be more excited!!!
On September 26, slews of celebs, activists, and fans will take over the park to show entertain and bring awareness to important global issues.
Selena released a statement saying quote: "I couldn't be more honored to participate in the Global Citizen Festival as it continues to help solve important issues around the world…" “I am particularly proud to be involved this year as the focus is on education. As an artist with many young fans, I believe everyone has the right to an education."
Also making guest appearance are Elle Goulding, Usher and Cat Stevens. Hosting duties will be taken up by some Hollywood royalty like Neil Patrick Harris, Hugh Jackman and Chelsea Handler to name a few. So basically, anyone who is anyone will be there!
So just a rundown of what exactly the Global Citizen Festival is… It was started in 2012 and is currently fronted by Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin. It was put together to bring big acts to help the effort to end extreme poverty, among other social economic issues by 2030. In the past performers like No Doubt, John Legend and even Stevie Wonder have rocked the stage and every year, it seems to get bigger and better. Imagine, being in the middle of Central Park in NYC, watching some of the biggest performers rock the stage – all for a good cause? What’s not to love?
