Selena Gomez Gets SLAMMED for Wearing Fur Vest

There’s no denying it’s been a brutal winter in New York. Selena Gomez bared the cold yesterday on her way to the recording studio wearing black leather pants, a vintage Coach sweatshirt, and an oversized Coach fur vest. Fans have found the pics online and are doing a double take of her outfit- but not for fashion inspo. Fans are slamming SelGo for wearing this twenty seven hundred dollar REAL fur vest.
It’s not really that surprising that Selena would be spotted wearing Coach pieces in her everyday life, as a face and design collaborator for the brand. Buuuut she could have said “Nah, I’ll pick a different Coach vest to wear today”...RIGHT? One fan sent Selena a simple message on Twitter saying QUOTE, “Wearing real fur is disgusting. Take notes @selenagomez”.
This fan tweeted in response to Vogue Runway who posted a photo of Selena’s outfit and pleaded, “Please don’t promote real fur and let designers sell it anymore. There plenty of beautiful faux fur. If followed PETA you would realize how some of these animals are treated.I love fashion but believe in animals that are treated with respect. Thx”. But this user had a less delicate response to the situation saying, “and fur….. Bitch just say u wanna ruin your career…”.
We’re a bit surprised to see Selena wear this controversial trend. Selena is known for being socially-conscious and sensitive to major issues.
