Have Mercy, Shawn Mendes just melted hearts as he serenaded us all under the moonlight
No, it’s not a metaphor. Shawn Mendes took the stage at the 2017 iHeart Radio Music Awards under a gigantic fake moon to perform his latest song, ‘Mercy.’ Once again, Shawn’s performance was absolutely incredible as he somehow managed to deliver a totally fresh version of the hit jam. Check it out.
Only Shawn Mendes can make a song sound different, yet still perfect, every single time he sings it, further proving just how talented he is. This time, he went for it… and then just kept going, basically defying the laws of nature when he hit this note.
And that is how you make us all beg for mercy. I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you all that Shawn is only 18 years old. Yep. I know, I know. It still shocks me too. Clearly, he is years ahead of himself with that voice, but he performs like a pro every single time. And he looks pretty damn good too. Shawn rocked his signature bomber jacket but, let’s be real, we were digging that floral suit jacket on the red carpet too.
