The Grammys have come and gone, but thanks to the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the most recent unveiling of EPIC performers, we now have even more to look forward to.
So if you’re in need of a Grammy performance redo, well, you’re kinda in luck because this lineup is gearing up to be just that.
Just three weeks before the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards, yet another major musical announcement bomb was dropped just this morning. Following on the heels of their unforgettable Grammy performances, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have officially signed on to join previously announced performer Bruno Mars in taking the stage for the upcoming show.
And not only are these Grammy-performing alumns set to perform, but even more of music’s biggest names that you may have heard of are also signed on to flaunt what they got including The Chainsmokers, Thomas Rhett, Shawn Mendes, Noah Cyrus and Big Sean.
Nominations were announced just last month, with Drake taking the lead, scoring 12 noms, and newcomer electronic duo group The Chainsmokers following shortly behind with 11. This year’s iHeart host Ryan Seacrest talked about the show, saying QUOTE, “The biggest artists in music show up each year. iHeartRadio reaches hundreds of millions of people across the country every day, so this is an opportunity for the fans to have a voice in who's the best and brightest, and the artists, in turn to show their appreciation.”
This is one of music’s biggest nights dedicated to the fans, so naturally one of the most talked about award categories is the Best Fan Army, in which some of the most…….. ‘passionate’ let’s call it – fan armies will battle it out, including The Beyhive, Selenators, Little Monsters, Katy Cats, Harmonizers and Beliebers among many.
So if you’re completely chained to playing Katy Perry’s new song on repeat and are desperately in need of some more of this…
Or even the incredibly talented one-man-show that is Ed Sheeran…
Then be sure to tune into the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 5th at 8 p.m. for an EPIC round two. Until then, I want to know what you guys think about the iHeart lineup so far, and who you’re most looking forward to seeing, so hit us up right down here in the comments and as always be sure to subscribe for the best award show coverage.
