Well the red carpet is rolled back up and back in storage for the next major award show, but it saw some really impressive moments at this year’s American Music AwardsWhat’s up guys it’s Dani Golub here with Clevver News and Lizzo was the first to arrive on the red carpet. Which is great, because the party doesn’t start until Lizzo walks in. She showed off a cute orange dress and a tiny Valentino purse to end all tiny purses.Seriously, move over Kendall Jenner.Because we have a new queen of the tiny purse trend. Ciara came early to the carpet as well, since she needed time to go set up for her hosting duties.In her first look of the night, Ciara wore this royal blue Balmain power suit fit for a queen. And Ciara, ever the queen herself, pulled it out.She also had this giant ornate necklace that I’m sure weighs even more than some of the awards that she will be giving out later tonight. Post Malone took a second to hang out with our favorite emo rocker, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
He must have been getting some tips from one rocker to another, as Posty was suiting up to perform alongside another rock star legend - Ozzy Osbourne. Selena Gomez is obviously still feeling summer in this bright, neon lemon green dress.
And yes, she had the shoes to match. Diplo cleaned up the carpet like it was the wild wild west. He rocked a brown MCM suit in his nod to the modern day cowboy. I mean, I would have preferred if he showed up in his birthday suit, but I’ll take what I can get! Sorry, it’s been a long day of red carpet coverage and I’m a bit thirsty, okay!?Billie Porter, per usual, turned heads with this beautiful head piece.
Halsey looked like she stepped straight out of a renaissance painting in this magnificent gown.And judging by her eye makeup, it looks like she spent the beginning of her weekend by binging Euphoria.Sure, she’s always loved her eye makeup, but for some reason this look really screams Hunter Schafer to me. And of course, the queen of the night Taylor Swift looked absolutely stunning when she finally graced us on the red carpet in this emerald green dress.In an ode to her day as queen of the snakes, Taylor matched her emerald green look with some thigh high black boots and a pinned back hairdo.
