Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo CONFIRMS Justice For Barb In S2

Gaten, who plays Dustin on the show, recently gave Elle.com some hints as to what we can expect from Stranger Things 2, and if you’re one of those fans who was really hoping Barb would somehow come back to life--you’re about to be seriously disappointed.
Gaten told the outlet of Barb’s future on the show QUOTE, “She has passed. She is dead...There will be justice for Barb. We get to go into her story a lot."
Okay, so that doesn’t come as a HUGE surprise, since we already knew that the actress who played Barb, Shannon Purser, was not set to reprise her role in the second season. But WHYYY did she have to die? Gaten had an answer for that too, telling Elle QUOTE, “The character was written to die. The character was written to have a defenseless underdog be killed to show the gruesomeness of everything, and to show that nobody is safe. That was what the character was, and I think that bringing her back would kind of defeat the purpose. So I think it really shows the danger of the show, and it shows the danger of everything that’s going on.”
Okay, we’re actually gonna have to agree with Gaten on this one, but that won’t stop us from tweeting #JusticeForBarb until she really does receive the justice and attention on the show she deserves. Stranger Things 2 drops on Netflix on October 27th, so get ready to not do anything but binge watch that entire day.
