Another day, another outrageous internet revelation; this time regarding a strange resemblance between Abelina and…………. Her parents…..?
If you’re one with psychology and the study of Sigmund Freud, you’d probably recall a certain complex of his that resonated quite strange to you: “Your parents strongly influence your future relationships.” So I’m not here to give you a psych lesson, but I AM here to give you the Internet’s latest finding… Selena Gomez may have taken Freud’s theory quite literal as new photos that surfaced emphasize a strange similarity between her and The Weekend, and her biological parents.
In the Internet’s newest meme that caught the attention of millions as it went viral this weekend, side-by-side photos of Selena and The Weeknd and her parents reveal a strange resemblance between the couples, from features like the relaxed smirk on Abel and Selena’s fathers’ faces, to Selena and her mother’s uncanny facial structure.
Many Instagram users took to the social media platform to express their pure shock for the meme which read QUOTE, “When you realize that Selena and The Weeknd looks just like Selena’s parents when they were younger.” One user commented, “i have been staring at this for 5 minutes IM SHOOK.” Another wrote, “right lol crazy it’s official they’re never breaking up”. One could only hope that really IS the case, but many were also quick to notice that Selena celebrated Super Bowl Sunday without her other half this year.
While there were two teams playing in yesterday’s big game, a fan-freakout shook the Internet because Selena was busy playing third-wheel with her coupled friends, while Abel was nowhere in sight. She posted multiple Instagram stories of herself having a good time with her group of friends, while The Weeknd missed out on yesterday’s festivities, but you guys, this in no way means that the two are broken up.
Maybe he’s just not a football fan; maybe he had a prior obligation… After all, he is The Weeknd and does have his own busy schedule to oblige to. Also keep in mind that the two just vacationed in what could be considered one of the most romantic cities in the world, so let’s all take a quick breather because everything is probably FINE.
