During the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards on Saturday comedian writer and actress Julie Klausner began posting on Twitter about Zendaya’s thin frame.
It all began when retweeted The Hollywood Reporter, which mentioned that Zendaya thanked parents for QUOTE “allowing me to be a role model for your children.” Julie added “And thinspo model for your impressionable tweens.”
She went on tweeting “Zendaya’s ultimate retort to Giuliana Rancic is starving herself down to the size of one of her elbowz”
She then added “"You don't have to have an eating disorder to attend the Kids' Choice Awards....but it helps!"
The 19-year-old did not take those comments lightly and as usual, stood up for herself. She tweeted back “you find this funny? I will write another paragraph to educate you aswell #youreallywannabenext?”
Klausner responded writng “"Can't wait," and Zendaya also tweeted, "Now....everyone go look in the mirror at their beautiful body, and love that s--t #thickgirlswinning #skinnygirlswinning #weallwinning."
Julie also wrote that she “will never stop criticizing celebs who perpetuate dangerous beauty standards for a generation of girls who grow up thinking they're fat."
YIKES. This was not pretty. Julie who created and stars in the Hulu series Difficult People, went on to write several other tweets about the situation Zendaya fans did not take well to it.
