Kicking off our rundown of the night’s best moments are Kristen Wig and Jon Hamm when they got our bellies busting with some good ole joke execution talking about laughing.
Very accurate. Butt cracks are funny. Speaking of funny, Keegan Michael Key and Julia Louis Dreyfus were really confused as to why they, as comedians, were presenting an award for a Drama category.
Keeping the funny going, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler presented together to honor the legendary Carol Burnett with this year’s Life Achievement Award.
Cue Fifth Harmony. Purse so heavy gettin’ Oprah dollas. Love it. You know what else I love? How flippin’ adorable the cast of Straight Outta Compton was when they presented the film.
Talented and adorable. And it should come as no surprise that when Jacob Tremblay from Room came up to present with Brie Larson, the adorable meter was off the charts.
Can we also just talk about Leonardo Dicaprio’s hair for a quick sec. For whatever reason the internet freaked out because his hair was quote – “workin’ it’s angles.” The internet is a weird place filled with amazing people with lot’s of time on their hands.
And speaking of amazing people, the cast of Downton Abbey won tonight for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series for Television and kept the adorable train chuggin’ with their humility.
No doubt that the feeling is mutual. Like are you kidding me, the cast of Downton Abbey is crazy talented. And while we’re gabbin’ about talented British actors, man oh man the perfection that is Idris Elba took home TWO Actors awards tonight for Beasts of No Nation and Luther.
So well deserved. And shout out to Michael Keaton for this well said moment, pointing out some extremely topical issues plaguing the world today while he accepted the award for Best Ensemble with the cast of Spotlight.
And we’ve all had those times when we just get caught up in a moment and totally forget what we’re supposed to be doing. That’s exactly what happened to Sur-sha Ronan when she arrived just a tad late to present.
Sometimes life just catches you off guard you know? Helen Mirren knows.
Her category was being announced and girlfriend was just trying to put on her earring. Those darn holes can be tricky to find. But the comment section isn’t!
