Adele has been up to all kinds of antics during her 2016 tour, from twerking to burping, and now, to setting the record straight on a scandalous tabloid rumor about herself that involves...pizza?
Last week, British Tabloid The Sun ran a story about how Adele sent staff from the Soho Farmhouse hotel in Oxfordshire on a 140-mile round trip to pick up a pizza from her favourite pizzeria in London, only for the singer to fall asleep, leaving the pizza cold and untouched. The Sun claimed that Adele left the pizza outside the door in its box, which was found by the maid the next morning.
Okay first of all, you know it’s a slow news day when they’re writing about left-out pizza. But the story wasn’t true, and rather than just let it be another stupid rumor, Adele made sure to let fans know that the story was completely fabricated. So in the middle of her concert in Chicago this week, she explained why the story couldn’t possibly be true.
There you have it! Right from the pizza eater’s mouth. After this whole ridiculous thing, I feel like she should add T-Shirts that have her quote, “If I order a pizza, I’m going to consume it” to her merch. I know a lot of people who would wear that. Honestly, the only thing that would have made this story better is if right after her explanation, Adele had a delivery guy come out on stage with a pizza that she periodically ate between songs. Now THAT would be something for the tabloids to write about.
So what do you guys think about Adele stopping the concert just to set the pizza story straight? Could she be any cuter? Let me hear all your thoughts in the comments, and after
that click here to check out an episode of Diss Track featuring One Direction versus Zayn! And be sure to subscribe! Thanks so much for hanging out with me on News Feed, I’m your host Ryland Adams and I’ll see you guys next time!
