When I say Adele is a show stopper, I really mean she’s a show stopper.
The night started off on a high note for Adele, but when it came time to perform a beautiful rearrangement of George Michael’s ‘Fastlove’ for his tribute, things turned a wee bit sour for the songstress. Through no fault of her own, Adele stopped singing, swore, stopped the music and apologized for swearing and asked to start the music over again.
Adele also apologized to the show’s producer, Ken Erlich before starting over. As it turns out the singer revealed she was experiencing some audio problems and referenced last year’s fiasco during her apology. Not to mention this was a very emotional performance for her because she has always referred to George as her hero, so it only makes sense for her to react that way.
As Adele’s performance came to an end, the singer turned away from the microphone to wipe away her tears and when she turned back around, she was greeted with a standing ovation from her many peers at the show. From the look on her face, the singer was definitely heartbroken by the audio mishap, but she did phenomenally the second time around.
