The New Edition tribute performance for the Lifetime Achievement award brought everyone to their feet at this years BET Awards
Did we just time travel or did we actually see a tribute performance in tie dyed overalls?
New Edition got a special tribute performance of their own because they were the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement award at this years BET Awards. The crowd was instantly on their feet as soon as they heard the first beats of the iconic R&B classic, Candy girl. This was sung by the adorable kids cast in the New Edition BET movie that came out this year.
Oh But the nostalgia didn’t stop there! We got epic 80’s throw back multi-colored overalls and hip hop dance moves like we’ve never seen them before.
The Tribute also featured the song “Poison” and Bobby Brown who was watching from the audience got a chance to sing the song once again as the performer made his way off the stage into the audience to share the mic with Mr. Brown.

I would have to agree! But I think the only way to really wrap up the New Edition tribute was to see The members of New Edition themselves perform all together once again to a medley of their most famous hits!
