It’s only been, I don’t know, 15 hours since our favorite singers belted their faces off at the Grammy’s last night, but we still can’t get enough. From our mother monster rocking it out with Metallica to the Queen, who literally transformed into a golden goddess, it was truly an unforgettable night, and it all started with a Hello from Adele. Looking as classy as ever, Adele kicked off music’s biggest night with the song that put her back in the spotlight. And of course, she was the epitome of grace and beauty.
And if that wasn’t enough, which it wasn’t because there’s no way to GET enough Adele, she graced the stage again for an emotional tribute to George Michael & had one of the realest moments of the night
Yeah, we’re not surprised that Adele won 5 grammy’s, including Album, Record, & Song of the year. Because, HELLO, she’s absolute perfection.
Our next performer is now officially a Grammy award winner. Best New Artist, Chance The Rapper, has already been making major moves, but his first Grammy performance just made him the real deal. Chance took the stage to perform Coloring Book’s ‘How Great’ and ‘All We Got,’ throwing in snippets of ‘No Problem’ and ‘Blessings.’ Joined by Kirk Franklin, Francis and the Lights, Tamela Mann, and a gospel choir, Chance took us all to church.
It’s about to be a huge year for Chance The Rapper. Someone who’s already kicking 2017 butt is our Mother Monster, Lady Gaga. After her epic Super bowl performance, we expected nothing less than greatness from Gaga and she, once again, exceeded those expectations. Teaming up with Metallica, the duet literally rocked the house, despite a major technical issue that forced both Gaga and Metallica’s James Hetfield to share a microphone.
The show must go on, right?
We were so excited to hear Katy Perry was once again back in our lives when she released her new song Chained to the Rhythm earlier last week with Disco balls placed around the world. And if you thought that was something you best believe Katy brought it all debuting the newly released song on the Grammy stage
Katy kept it peppy and spunky as she performed behind a white picket fence in a black and white pantsuit, which is believed to be a nod at Hillary Clinton who she supported on the campaign trail. And it was all wrapped up with an amazing message set on the backdrop that read “We The People.” Katy did say, prior to her performance that it would be quote, ““definitely unlike anything I’ve ever done.”
“Usually there’s a lot of dancers and things but it’s mostly just me.” And hey, we kinda like when its just Katy.
We saved the most breathtaking performance for last by the Queen Bey herself, Beyonce. In her first public appearance since announcing she is expecting twins, all eyes were on Yonce, and when she took the stage dressed as a real life goddess, we all melted a little inside. Beyonce’s signature dance moves were obviously nowhere to be seen, but she still managed to capture every ounce of attention and rightfully so, as she glided across her very own garden.
And for a moment, all was right in the world. Now I gotta hear from you. What were your favorite Grammy performances? Share it in the comments below and then hit that subscribe button. Thanks for hanging out with me, I’m your host Sinead de Vries, and I’ll see you guys next time!
