Selena Gomez & The Weeknd's BIG Plans For The 2017 Grammy Awards

TMZ has reported that Selena and the Weeknd already RSVP’d to Clive Davis’ annual Grammys bash and that at the awards show, The Weeknd has requested that Selena be sat next to him. If that doesn’t make it official I don’t know what does. The Weeknd is scheduled to perform with Daft Punk but Selena isn’t nominated or performing so if she attends, it’s clear that it’s a date.
As for Selena’s ex, Justin Bieber says he’s skipping the show this year. He told TMZ that he doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative especially when it comes to young singers. But ironically Justin is nominated for four Grammy’s this year including Album of the Year as well as Song of the Year. Surely it’s just a coincidence that Justin doesn’t want to attend the Grammys the same year Selena will be on the arm of a new man. Just a tad suspicious.
But Justin isn’t the only one skipping out on this year’s show. Kanye and Drake will also be playing hookey. Kanye previously stated that he would boycott the Grammys if Frank Ocean’s “Blonde” album wasn’t nominated and it was not so It looks like he is keeping his word. Drake won’t be there because he actually has a conflict. He’ll be in Europe touring. And although Drake, Kanye, and Justin will be missed, we can look forward to seeing Adele, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban when the Grammys air February 12th.
