Adele BREAKS Grammy Award In Half & Shares It With Beyonce At 2017 Grammy Awards

Last night Adele took home the Grammy for Album of the Year, beating out Beyonce’s Lemonade. In her acceptance speech Adele refused to accept the award, wishing it had been given to her idol Beyonce. Queen Bey was seen in the audience with tears in her eyes, clearly moved by Adele’s words. In a moment that wasn’t aired on TV Adele then ripped her trophy IN HALF, in order to share the award with Beyonce!
Some believe Adele did this intentionally while others believe it was a happy accident. Either way, the singer seemed more than thrilled at what she had done, raising the two pieces up with a huge grin on her face! Twitter quickly compared the moment with the scene in Mean Girls when Lindsay Lohan broke her tiara into pieces and shared it with the other nominees.
In the press room after the show, Adele reiterated to reporters saying QUOTE, “...my album of the year was Lemonade, so a piece of me did die inside, as a Beyonce stan.” Adele even admitted she voted for Beyonce over herself and added, “I felt like it was her time to win. What the f--k does she have to do to win Album of the Year?” And finally Adele gushed, “She is the icon of my whole life.” At the 59th annual Grammy show Beyonce took home two of her nine nominations and Adele swept her categories winning five out of five nominations.
