Guys, this is not a drill--Queen Bee is officially performing at the Grammy awards, and
It’s only been a day since Bee broke the internet with the news that she and Jay-Z are expecting twins, so the news that she’s going to be performing at the Grammy’s is almost too much to handle. Except it isn’t, because there can NEVER be enough good news about Beyonce.
It comes as no surprise that Bee was invited to perform at this year’s awards ceremony, especially given the fact that “Lemonade” is nominated for 9 awards, including Album of the Year, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Film. "Formation" alone received nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video, meanwhile "Hold Up", "Don't Hurt Yourself" and "Freedom" were also nominated in pop, rock AND rap categories.
Not only does her 9 nominations for Lemonade mean that Beyonce is up for more Grammys than ANY other artist this year---it also makes her the most nominated female artist in HISTORY. She’s also the only artist--male OR female--to be nominated across four different genres of music. So that should make for a fun bedtime story for those twins once they’re born! Speaking of which, how baller is it that Beyonce is performing at the awards show while pregnant?! I can’t wait to see what she pulls off and what songs she chooses to perform--but no matter what she does one thing is for sure: The 2017 Grammys are gonna be LIT.
