Beating out the Chainsmokers, Kelsea Ballerini, Anderson Park, and Maren Morris, Chance the Rapper came out on top taking home Best New Artist. And well deserved. When Chance’s name was announced as the winner, not a butt was left in a seat when everyone jumped to their feet. Chance thanked God for his parents for always supporting him as well as Chicago and his family, but in true award show fashion the producers began to play the wrap it up music to which Chance replied saying ya’ll can play it if you want to but I’m gonna talk. But honestly the music played very well with the speech and made it kinda epic. Check it out:
Totally thought he was bout to break out into a song. This marks Chance the Rapper’s first Grammy win and what makes this victory even more crazy is that you guys Chance is an independent artist!
