Beyonce CONFIRMED To Play Nala In Lion King Remake & Twitter REACTS

Disney has officially announced the full voice cast for it’s upcoming live-action Lion King remake by simply tweeting a photo of the cast writing “#TheLionKing. 2019.” We already knew that Donald Glover would be starring as Simba, and now we know none other than BEYONCE will play Simba’s friend and wife Nala. Looks like the rumors were true! You guys. Beyonce’s comeback role has arrived!
She’ll also star alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villain Scar, Alfre Woodard will voice Simba’s Mom Sarabi, and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba’s father Mufasa. But that’s not all, comedians Billy Eichner will play meerkat Timon while Seth Rogen voices Pumbaa.
Naturally, this casual cast announcement has completely SHOOK Twitter with fans reacting to the news. One fan made a bold prediction writing, “BEYONCÉ IS OFFICIALLY IN THE LION KING. BEYONCÉ WILL GET AN OSCAR. LADIES, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!” While many other fans pointed out the fact that they previously did not care about the remake, “Me: stop remaking Disney movies! *sees new Lion King cast* me: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SEVENYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”.
Twitter also had some witty comments with one Beyhive member writing, “I am glad the Lion King is being rebooted so we can remember Scar can only be President for so long before Beyoncé shows up & fixes it”. Another user pointed out, “Disney really about to bless us with a Beyonce/Gambino collab song”. I mean, whether or not you’re into live-action remakes, there’s no denying the upcoming soundtrack will be fire.
