As if our week couldn’t be filled with any more Hiddleswift news, there are now reports that Calvin Harris’ new song is all about Taylor Swift cheating on him with Tom Hiddleston, allegedly leading to the end of their 1 year (and some) relationship. According to TMZ, the song is written from Tom Hiddleston’s point of view, while Just Jared reports that the the track, entitled ‘Ole’ features singer John Newman and will actually be released tomorrow! John sat down with DigitalSpy just last month to dish on the song saying quote “I know Calvin’s really, really proud of it as well. He says it’s one of his favorite songs he’s ever written.” Newman also posted a little snippet of the track just to tease us. Take a listen.
Well, if that doesn’t get you excited to hear the new song, TMZ also revealed some of the lyrics that we may be hearing when the track drops and they go a little something like this…
"I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend ..." And taking inspiration from Tom’s movie villain character, Loki, another line reads QUOTE "Low key you won't tell none of your friends about me."
Okay, so these are obviously very telling lyrics, but TMZ also reports that, according to Taylor, ‘Ole’ was written long before Tom was in the picture at all, so it’s obviously not about her or any cheating scandal, which could be true, but if that “low key” line does show up in the song, it would a pretty big coincidence… Now TMZ also reveals that we will also be treated with a music video. Calvin & John actually shot the visuals to ‘Ole’ down in Mexico and the DJ was all smiles posing for behind the scenes shots with Newman. Now let it be known that sources have also told TMZ that Calvin Harris doesn’t actually blame Tom Hiddleston for the downfall of his relationship with T-Swift, and that when it comes to Tom, Calvin QUOTE “feels he’s under Taylor’s spell and the one who made the fateful decisions was her and her alone.”
Well, there are obviously still a lot of questions remaining surrounding this entire love triangle mess, but here’s to hoping some of those questions will be answered when ‘Ole’ drops tomorrow. If anything, are you ready to hear Calvin’s side of the story? I know I am, but I gotta hear from you so leave all your thoughts in the comments sections down below and then you can click right over here to check out another one of our favorite ex-couples, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, and they’re going head to head in a brand new Diss Track.
