Camila Cabello Calls Ariana Grande Her 'WIFEY' During Artist Of the Year Award Speech

Camila Cabello takes home the coveted “Artist of the Year” VMA and gives the most heartwarming speech.
After the incredible year Camila’s had, we can’t say we’re surprised with this big win!
Camila Cabello just went from pop princess to VMA artist of the year QUEEN! This was her first year at the VMAs as a solo artist and Camila walked away with one of the most coveted award, aka: Moon Person of the evening.
Not only is the Artist of the Year award a MAJOR honor, it’s also one of the most competitive categories to be nominated in, as it transcends music genres. This year, Camila was up against fellow nominees Cardi B, Bruno Mars, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, AND Drake. So it was no surprise that the “Havana” singer was visibly shocked and humbled by her big win.
Camilla went on to show her fans some major love. She thanked all of her supporters, saying QUOTE “The relationship I have with you guys, with my fans, is a forever thing. And — oh, my heart is beating so fast … I can’t breathe! You guys have been here for me since the beginning, and I’m going to be here for you ’til the very end. I love you guys so much.”
Annnnd that right there is why we LOVE her so much.
Camila also gave a very special shout out to her MOM, who was standing proudly in the audience as her date to the show. And she also gave us a major girl power moment when she pointed out all the amazing female artists in her category...
What an amazing moment. We’re wishing Camila the biggest of congratulations and can’t wait to see what the rest of 2018 has in store. Especially if what’s in store is a collab between her and Ariana and Cardi – Like, could it GET better than that?! Here’s to hoping it happens ASAP!
