Fans Share MIXED Reactions to Camila Cabello's "Artist of the Year" VMAs Win

The Twitterverse had a LOT to say about Camila taking home the win over her fellow nominees.
Camila Cabello has had an incredible year as a solo artist, which was why she was awarded the 2018 VMA for Artist of the Year. It was a crazy competitive year for the category, with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Post Malone, Cardi B AND Drake also nominated.
Camilizers were obviously thrilled to see Camila take home such a big win, but others were shocked that she was able to beat out her fellow nominees.
One Twitter dissed Camila’s win by writing QUOTE, “Drake had #1 spot all over the charts, song and meme of the summer but he’s not artist of the year huh #VMAs”. Another shared a clip of Ariana’s “God is a Woman” performance from the show, along with the caption QUOTE, “the people’s artist of the year.”
One person shared a confused gif, along with the caption QUOTE, “How she win over Cardi?”
Another simply wrote QUOTE, “How can u compare Drake, Bruno, or Ari’s talent with rookie Cabello? U are ridiculous, good night.”
But for every person who wasn’t thrilled with Camila’s win, there were ten more Camilizers screaming their excitement for her. Which is exactly why she won.
One fan tweeted QUOTE, “Camila went from watching herself being pushed off stage at home on the vma’s, to winning best artist of the year today. Karma is real. She’s forever winning.” Another wrote QUOTE, “I think I just screamed and my entire neighborhood just heard me when Camila won artist of the year.”
