So, really, do you see white and gold – or black and blue?? That is the question that had the entire internet buzzing last night.
Okay, so this was indeed a news story that was not worthy of the coverage it received, but as an entertainment news reporter, duh, I’m totally getting in on the action – before we say “rest in peace dear dress debate.” Celebrities galore participated in the “do you see black and blue or white and gold?” dispute. Let’s get dramatic.
T-Swift: I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow. I'm confused and scared. PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK

In fact, here’s a full list of what a bunch of Hollywood’s best thought about the dress. Blue and black… or gold and white… the debate that almost broke up Sarah Hyland and boyfriend Dominic Sherwood. Okay, so not really… but the tweets and memes were hilarious.
And for the record, clearly, I saw gold and white… and only gold white.
Keep in mind that this fugly dress story started trending after another hot topic dominated national news coverage for the day.
So actually it was a color debate in and of itself. Which llama would win the race to nowhere?? So, if you didn’t hear, those 2 llamas hit the town outside of Phoenix after being brought to an assisted living facility to help with therapy. #LLAMADRAMA
But bringing it back to the dress debate, seriously, what color combo do you see?? I’d like to show you - this is an abstract painting that I did, using only gold and white paint – and look, these two colors together kinda make a bluish tint, so lines of gold and white, duh, can appear bluish… because again, the damn dress is white and gold!
MAYBE: Actually I kinda felt like I was back in that trippy Miley Cyrus video that she did with the Flaming Lips.
What is going on, indeed? Well, science says it all. To shorten a more precise explanation, what color you see has to do with the way human eyes and brains have evolved to see color in a sunlit world. Kinda makes me think of Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, huh? (cut) So apparently, you see the colors that you see based on what your brain automatically decides or assumes is happening as far as lighting is concerned while it is considering the object’s actual coloring… so it’s up to an individual’s brain to process those two factors and come up with a solution in a second. And while science does not say this, the damn dress is gold and white!!
