On what would be Christina Grimmie’s 23rd birthday following her tragic death last June, her family is celebrating by sharing a special animated tribute with her many adoring fans.
And there truly is no better way to celebrate the life of such a pure, genuine soul than by remembering her as the hero that she was to many.
Christina Grimmie is being remembered by millions on her 23rd birthday in a way she’d surely appreciate – in the form of a courageous animated heroine. Nine months following the sudden death of Christina after she was shot during a fan meet-and-greet in Orlando, Florida, her family is paying tribute to her on her first birthday since her death with a special animated video featuring her posthumous song “Invisible”, where she comes to life as the real hero we all knew her to be.
Her family, including her mom, dad and older brother, shared the video to her YouTube page, where they also stated QUOTE, “As many of you know, Christina LOVED video games and had a special fondness for anime. We created this video as a special tribute to honor that love and her desire to always bring light and love into the heart of others.”
Her brother, Marcus Grimmie, also shared a screenshot from the video to his Instagram account, writing, “I know you would love this sis.” He also posted a screenshot of one of her favorite video games, to which he dedicated his Zelda victory to on her special day saying, “Happy birthday sis. I beat Zelda for you at 12 o'clock this morning. I know you would be proud and that you would have beaten it before me. Miss you so much. Never felt so good beating Ganon.”
