Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas & Tove Lo Performing At 2016 BBMAs

If you didn’t think the 2016 Billboard Music Awards could get any bigger after they revealed that Justin Bieber would be performing at the award show, think again.
Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Tove Lo, what do these three singers have in common? Well, for one they’ll all be performing at the BBMAs this year alongside Justin Bieber and a few other superstars.
If you weren’t able to grab tickets to Nick and Demi’s Future Now tour, well, this might be your lucky day. The two besties along with Tove Lo have been announced to perform at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas this year. Nick is set to take the stage with Tove Lo to sing a live rendition of their duet “Close” AKA the first single off of Nick’s new album, ‘Last Year Was Complicated.’ And Demi is said to perform her 2015 summer jam, “Cool for the Summer.”
These three talented musicians are joining the likes of Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, DNCE, The Go-Gos, and Pink. It’s safe to say that this year’s BBMAs will definitely be one to remember. Hopefully Nick and Demi’s performances will be enough to hold over their fans in North Carolina. The duo announced recently that they’ve decided to boycott North Carolina and cancel their shows there due to the state’s new HB2 law that blocks local governments from putting anti-discrimination legislation into play to protect the LGBT community.
Nick told E! that his decision was a tough one. He said QUOTE, “It’s a tough thing and what makes it more tough is I have family in North Carolina and friends there. On top of the disappointment I’m sure some fans felt, I’ve gotten personal disappointment.” Nick and Demi weren’t the first to take a stand against the state, and it doesn’t sound like they’ll be the last ones to either.
