Just last month, the tension between Demi Lovato and Halsey seemed to be pretty thick after Halsey insinuated in an interview with Paper Magazine that songs like Demi’s “Cool For the Summer” make bisexuality seem taboo. When asked how she feels as a bisexual woman about the representation of bisexuality in pop songs Halsey told the magazine QUOTE - "Oh, yeah. Bisexuality as a taboo. "Don't tell your mom" or "We shouldn't do this" or "This feels so wrong but it's so right." That narrative is so f***ing damaging to bisexuality and its place in society. That's something I've had to fight my whole life.” Immediately fans picked up on the fact the Halsey was obviously referencing Demi’s song and from the sound of her subtweets, Demi noticed as well. Shortly after the release of Halsey’s interview, Demi tweeted QUOTE - “You know a song is a hit when people are still talking about the lyrics two years later. #shhhhdonttellyourmother”
But the feud rumors were put to rest yesterday when Demi posted a selfie with Halsey in high spirits with the caption - “Ran into this beauty today.” I would have loved to see the moment when they spotted each other. Like who approached who? And then was Demi like, hey lets eff with the media and post a photo together to declare peace in the pop world.
