Fans ACCUSE Selena Gomez' Spray Tan of 'Blackface' During 2018 MET Gala

Selena Gomez just got accused of doing Black Face at last night’s Met Gala
That awkward moment when your spray tan goes wrong.
Selena Gomez definitely turned heads at this year’s MET Gala but not for the reasons you may think. Though Sel was rocking a stunning custom Coach design gown, with a stunning sheer train, it wasn’t her dress people that had people talking.
When Sel showed up to the event, she appeared much tanner than usual and many people on twitter deemed her tan as blackface. Though this could very well be a case of getting the wrong spray tan color right before a huge event, many people didn’t think this was the case.
As you may know, ‘blackface’ is a term used to describe “makeup used by a nonblack performer playing a black role.” For example, remember a while back when Julianne Hough dressed up as ‘Crazy Eyes’ from Orange is the New Black on Halloween and painted her face to appear darker? Julianne did later apologize, but obviously, this costume had many people upset.
And I guess with Selena’s tan making her look way different and much darker, it had people thinking this may also be the case. But I want to turn it over to you guys.
