This video is all about a HUGE ikan bakar or BBQ seafood feast we had in Perlis. Perlis food is AMAZING!

We visit Restaurant Api Api which we hear is a local's favourite for a gigantic seafood spread. What's great about Restaurant Api Api is that seafood is sold by weight and you can choose for the seafood to to be cooked in whatever style that suits- from bakar (on the barbecue) to poached, to stir-fried etc.

We eat:

- sotong tepung (floured and deep fried octopus- we refer to it as squid in the video but it was in fact octopus)
- crab cooked in a butter sauce
- squid, prawns and stink beans cooked on the BBQ
- stir fried gai lan or Chinese broccoli with salted fish
- stir fried clams with ginger
- rice

What a feast! This is the best ikan bakar we've had in Malaysia so far. We're road tripping around peninsular Malaysia and there are a tonne of Perlis food videos to come! Check out our Perlis playlist for more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3b3171v1f8&list=PLg-t2nQXCum4-l7RA1gf0RvY-TgONOuOA

Where we ate:

Restaurant Api Api
02000 Kuala Perlis, Perlis
Open 5:30pm to 11:30pm, closed Monday
