Kenan Thompson appeared on Late night with Seth Meyers recently and they had quite a conversation in regards to yet another one of Kanye’s rants.
For the uninitiated, Kanye ended the show with a live performance, which is standard for Saturday night Live. The show went OFF AIR at 1am. And that’s when things got a little… weird. Sporting a Make America Great Again Hat, Kanye proceeded to finish his song, bring invite the entire cast back up to the stage.. And rant. Kanye went on to say things like QUOTE “thank you for giving me this platform. I know some of ya’ll don’t agree, but ya’ll be going at that man neck a lot, and I don’t think it’s actually that helpful.” But kenan knew better to jump on that stage and join kanye, in fact. Kenan and Seth Meyers, who is an SNL alumni, both mentioned that the show tries to be fair to the hosts and musical guests to make them feel comfortable and give them freedom to be themselves and do what they want when it comes to the show. But then that allows for things like this to happen. The video of Kanye’s rant made the rounds after Audience members stayed and watched the whole thing unfold after the show went off air. Even Chris Rock was in the audience filming the spectacle. It’s got to be so uncomfortable to stand on stage with someone who has such a different opinion of yours.
