Katherine Langford REVEALS What Selena Gomez Told Her About 13 Reasons Why

Before ’13 Reasons Why,’ Katherine Langford was a struggling actress just like a majority of the LA population. But once she landed the role, Katherine became a star and with that title came a few changes to her life – starting with her social media presence.
Now, that’s not to say that Katherine didn’t have social media accounts before she landed the part on ’13 Reasons Why,’ she definitely had an Instagram, but she kept it on private until Selena Gomez basically convinced her to make it public.
Katherine opened up to W magazine about the moment she decided to take her account public and it pretty much happened after she chatted with Selena.
She said QUOTE, “I spoke to Selena [Gomez], and I think I was still private [on Instagram] at the time. She was more like, ‘Yo, I get where you’re coming from… The message of the show is really important and if you want to connect with people it’s a good way to do it.” So then I did [go public], and I mean, I still don’t post that much. I think you go through a wave of “Oh, social media this is really cool.” And then – I think we’ve all done this – the point where you start feeling reliant on social media or what people are saying on social media is when you take a step back.”
Even though Katherine doesn’t post as much, her fans definitely all have SelGo to thank. Especially since Sel’s words pushed Katherine to open her socials and connect with the public because of the huge impact of ‘13 Reasons Why’ had on so many people.
